Itinerary:
Day 1: Ubon Ratchathani

Ubon Ratchathani

Welcoming by our guide at the airport in Pakse to take you to the hotel. 
Depending on your arrival, start with a visit to the city, to the local markets and to the weaving village of Ban Saphay.
Overnight in Pakse.

 
Day 2: Pakse / Tadlo

Direction Tadlo, to the Bolovens Plateau.
On the way, visit of differents minorities (Alak and Khatu) and walk in a coffee & tea plantation.
Afternoon in Tadlo at a site in the beautiful riverside Sexet.
Night in a guesthouse near the waterfalls.
 
Day 3: Tad Lo

Visit the region: very beautiful waterfalls, share a life time with lao farmers.
Have a ride on an elephant, inside a dense forest very rich for its flora and fauna
Night as before.
 
Day 4: Tad Lo / Champassak / Done Khong

Breakfast at the guesthouse.
Direction Champasack with stops at Phasoum Tad, Tad Yeaung two wonderfull waterfalls.
Travel further to the former royal capital Champasack with pre-Angkorian Wat Phou.
The ruins date mainly back to the tenth and eleventh centuries, but the initial part dates back to the fifth century and occupies an imposing site.
Superb carved lintels representing the gods Vishnu, Siva and Bramna are still intact.
Overnight at Donekhong.

 
Day 5: Done Khong / Si Phan Don

Boat trip to the Cambodian border to see the presence of rare and mysterious river dolphins.
Walk on the widest part of the Mekong, in the middle of the islands Si Pan Don (4000 islands).
Discovery of the Khone Phapeng Falls. They are the only impassable rapids forming an obstacle to navigation on the Mekong between the Chinese border and its delta in Vietnam.
Sharing the calm and timeless life with the communities on the island, the lives of fishermen and farmers.
Hotel as before.

 
Day 6: Done Khong / Voeunkham / Stung Treng

Donekhong - laos
Transfer to Veunkham, the Lao-Cambodia border.
Your guide will wait you at the Cambodian border in Stung Treng for further transfer by private vehicle. Dinner at local restaurant.
Night in Stung Treng.
 
Day 7: Stung Treng / Rattanak Kiri

Rattanak Kiri - cambodia
Breakfast at the hotel. Off to Rattanak Kiri.
Visit waterfalls Kachanh and Ung Cha. Take a leisure stroll around the lake Yeak Laom.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Rattanak Kiri.
 
Day 8: Rattanak Kiri

Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to Voeun Sai in private vehicle and boarding of the boat on river Se Sen for a 45min journey to meet the minority in the village Tampuon Kashan.
Discovery of cemeteries that make their reputation.
Back to Voeun Sai by small canoe through the villages of Laotien and Chinese minorities.
Transfer to Ban Lung.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Rattanak Kiri.
 
Day 9: Rattanak Kiri / Kratie

Kratié - cambodia
Breakfast at the hotel.
Leaving Rattanak Kiri for Kratie. After quick refreshments at the hotel, take a little tour of this charming colonial town and its market.
After this visit, drive towards Kampie, (located 15 km north of Kratie) a famous site for watching freshwater dolphins in the Mekong River and various birds.
To get to this place, we will take a small boat. While browsing you will discover beautiful landscapes along the river.
Back to the city. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Kratie.
 
Day 10: Kratie / Kampong Cham

Breakfast at local restaurant.
On the road to Kampong Cham quick check at the hotel after arrival.
Afternoon visit to a rubber plantation in Choup, through the Kizuna bridge on the Mekong, the symbol of the Khmer-Japanese friendship.
Return to Kompong Cham, visit Phnom Pros and Phnom Srei (the hill of the boys and the hill of the girls). Free time for relaxation.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Kampong Cham.
 
Day 11: Kampong Cham / Kampong Thom

Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to Kompong Thom (138 km off Kompong Cham, a three-hour trip).
Along the way, discover the temples Kuhear Moha Nokor and Phum Prasat.
Arrive in Kompong Thom, visit Prasat Andet.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Kampong Thom.
 
Day 12: Kampong Thom / Siem Reap

Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion to Prei Kuk Sambor (former capital of the kingdom of Chenla). The site has about 200 temples dating from the pre-Angkorian period. After the visit, continue the journey to Siem Reap (153 km). Stop on the way to discover the bridge in Kampong Naga Kdei.
Arrive in Siem Reap, transfer to hotel.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
Day 13: Siem Reap / Angkor

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit of Angkor Thom, the Bayon temple mountain, Baphuon, the Terrace of the Leper, the former Royal Palace, Phimean Akas and the Terrace of Elephants.
Afternoon, visit Angkor Wat, Phnom Bakheng, a temple mountain where you can admire the sunset over the Angkor region.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
Day 14: Siem Reap / Angkor

Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the temples of Kravan, Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean and Preah Khan temple.
Stroll around the Srah Srang basin and the junge temple Ta Prohm, Takeo, Chau Say Thommanon and Tevoda.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
Day 15: Siem Reap / Banteay Srei

Breakfast at the hotel.
Morning excursion to the temple of Banteay Srei "City of Women", a jewel of pink sandstone carved entirely and dedicated to Shiva. It was built in the twelfth century by King Jayavarman V along with Banteay Samre.
Then visit the Roluos Group: Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei. Discover sites where schools revive ancient Khmer traditions.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
 

Day 16: Siem Reap / Koh Ker / Boeng Mealea


Koh Ker  - cambodia
Breakfast at the hotel.
Excursion to the Koh Ker site (about 3 hours away in the countryside).
This site, former capital of Cambodia in IXth century, is dominated by a mountain temple 30m high (Prasat Thom) and surrounded by many charming small temples.
Then departure for Beng Mealea temple, one of the most interesting temples outside of Angkor, almost as big of Angkor Wat but somewhat collapsed in places. This temple is largely overrun by the jungle making it a very romantic place.
Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Back in Siem Reap.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
Day 17: Siem Reap / Phnom Penh

Breakfast at the hotel.
Early morning transfer to the pier to take the boat towards Phnom Penh.
Arrive around noon and transfer to hotel.
Discover the capital of Cambodia Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum where over 5000 objects are shown, made of sandstone, bronze, silver, gold, gathered from Angkor.
Depending on the schedule, boat trip to a floating village on Tonle Sap.
Overnight in Phnom Penh.
 
Day 18: Phnom Penh

cambodia Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit the grim Museum of Tuol Sleng Genocidal Crime and Charnel "Choeung EK" showing a part of the recent Khmer history. Continue to visit the Russian Market, Wat Phnom, the old colonial district and the Independence Monument.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Free time until transfer to airport.
